Fine Art School Portraits

I have been a portrait photographer since 2015 and have devoted many hours to studying light and posing.  In 2020, I began offering School Pictures at my home for my homeschool community.  In 2021, I provided all of the school photos for my homeschool coop.  This consisted of approximately 150 students and adults combined.

I bring all of my own equipment needed -- including the backdrop and a stool for students to sit on.  I use natural light, so all I need from your school is space and a window.  I also bring my own assistant to help keep things in order with names of who is being photographed. However, having a parent volunteer provided by the school to bring the students from their classes helps keeps things moving quickly 

Other than Picture Day, I am a completely online business. Your families will be linked to password-protected photo viewing gallery. Each child will be provided 2-5 images, presented in both color and black n white. A detailed digital PDF describing all ordering procedures and photoshoot day preparation will be provided to each school to be distributed to families prior to photo day.

Families can order digital images from me and order prints from their preferred printing lab.  I highly recommend using Mpix as this is the consumer side of a professional lab and their prints are beautiful. 

I can provide your school with all high-resolution digital files to use for yearbooks, website, school advertising, school ID's, or however the school wishes to use the images. 

I handle any questions from parents and families about picture day, ordering, etc.

I can provide headshots of each staff member depending on your school's needs.

I have competitive rates and nothing is due up-front, all profit is made from ordering. 

My pricing is very simple.  Families can choose to purchase a single digital image or all of the images in their child's photo gallery. Here is my current pricing for school photos:  INFO GUIDE

I make Picture Day fun and seamless.  I also send out prep materials so that parents can have their child ready before Picture Day. I am willing to communicate directly with parents to alleviate that point from your school. 

I can work with schools as large as 250 students.  I have worked with hundreds of students since 2020 and am able to move quickly.

Once the photos are ready, families are linked to password-protected online ordering galleries - in fact, everything is online! Each child will be provided 3-5 images, presented in both color and black n white. The family may choose the photos they want to purchase.  Gone are the days of parents being given one pose only to consider printing.

Digital images are available for purchase -- in fact, most of my homeschool families prefer to purchase digital images only.  They like the ability to share the images online, use for Christmas cards and print at their favorite photo lab. Digital purchases are ready to download within 24 hours of purchase and delivered directly to the parent's email address.

At this time, I do not offer prints to purchase.  This allows families to print images they choose with the printing service of their choice.  

Parents have told me three main reasons they love their experience with me:

• The portraits are beautiful and they can't believe I got such genuine expressions from their kids.

• They love that I'm great with kids and that their children had a good experience having their photos taken.

I work with a solid black background.  This gives each photo a timeless and classic look. Parents love this as it highlights their children's face and expressions beautifully.  Parents love that these images look great printed and hung as wall art in their homes no matter their decor style.

If your school would prefer a different color background, please let me know.  I do have two other options available. 

Yes!! As a homeschool family for over 20 years, I absolutely love to work with other homeschool families.  

For homeschool groups and coops, I usually charge a $25 session fee per student (maximum of $75 per family). 

I spend about 4-5 minutes per child during their session time and work to get a variety of expressions from serious to silly.  Families can then choose to purchase digital images and print them as they wish.
